Outline of Department (Dept. Objective)
1.The objective of the function is, by working with government agencies and other external stakeholders, to support JLRC's sustained business growth in China.
2.This position is responsible for building and maintaining positive company image through government relation resources and implementing Jaguar Land Rover's government affairs strategy for China under the direction from the GA Head.
3.Stay atop of government’s industrial policy and regulations to ensure understanding and compliance, to ensure JLRC benefit from policy incentives where applicable, and to minimize business and operational risks resulting from policy/regulatory development.
4.Address government-related business issues as they arise.

Basic Purpose of the role
This position is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationship with government departments of China. To monitor Chinese policy/legislation related to auto industry, offer valuable insights related to JLR business in China. To follow up and report dynamic of legislation of intelligent connected vehicle and related issues.

Key Responsibilities
1.To develop strong relationships with designated ministries (e.g. MOFCOM, NDRC, MIIT, MEE, SAIC, MOF, SAT, etc.).
2.To follow up and report the policy/legislation related to intelligent connected vehicles/autonomous driving, make impact assessment report in support of developing product strategy in China.
3.To follow up and report the policy/legislations including China emission, double credit, NEV issues. Update key information to product compliance team of China and the UK.
4.To follow up and report the policy/legislation related to aftermarket and customer service, including recall and 3R. Respond inquiries from aftersales and customer team about policy/legislation.
5.To engineer related events in support of policy/legislation lobby activities.
6.To communicate local authorities in support of JLR projects such as NEV incentive application.
